Camping Trip April 09

We have the most wonderful Sunday school class. Most everyone loves to go camping so we are trying to go twice a year. This past weekend was our third trip as a group. We all pack up and head to Cleburn state park. Everyone stays in tents and has a great time. Friday morning facebook was busing with people trying to decide if they were going to fight the rain and head out there. Praise the Lord the rain stopped at lunch and the truck was packed. We got out to he camp grounds around 3:00 we got the tent set up and Daniel helped others as they arrived getting their tents set up. I believe there were 76 people in total. This included some families that only came out for the day on Saturday.

Friday night we hung out helped people get settled and had some yummy food my husband prepared. The kids all watched a movie on the big screen, that is right i said movie on big screen. One of our friends has a set up so that the kids can watch movies, I did not say we rough totally rough it. We had some smores on the fire and had fun fellow shipping. Saturday is was a relaxing day just hanging out. Some of the kids took naps. NOT OURS. I had to head into town for a smore supply run so Malachi took his nap then.
They guys started a fun game of flag (some contact) football. Which afterwords I believe they all realized that they are getting older!! The site that we camp on is a long strip and we had about 8 sites so the kids took over and road their bikes back and forth. HOT STUFF WATCH OUT!

During one part of the day a game of duck duck goose was started and it ended up with Malachi in the middle hitting everyone on the head with a coke can. They were all loving it and of course he thought it was great as well. Boy looks good in his camo and butterfly chair!

Harley enjoyed the squirrels. There were three taunting him in the woods.
That evening we had a worship time. We sang songs and had a devotion. It was very nice to be out in God's creation praising him. This time did come to an end faster then planned b/c God decided to give us a little shower. Not long but it did create a beautiful double rainbow. I wish I had gotten pictures.
In the evening it was another fun time eating and cooking smores. The girls decided to have a little girl time so we all stayed up playing games and making each other laugh. Thanks to who ever had the idea of the paper game!
Sunday everyone got up and started packing up all of our stuff. Daniel and another guy went around and passed out flyers about the worship and Lord Supper time we were going to have that morning. We had a few people come over and worship with us and partake in the Lord's Supper. It was another wonderful time to enjoy His love and grace.
Malachi packed himself in and was ready to head home.

All in all it was another great camp out and everyone is looking forward to next year.
