Big Boy Bed

Malachi has been in his full size bed for about a month now. He has never slept better. We were both thinking why didn't we do this earlier. The mattress has been on the floor for this whole time waiting for bed rails and then waiting for mom to buy the guard rail so our poor little guy didn't fall off. Friday was the day it all came together. We have also been searching for the perfect bedding and room theme. This is harder then you would think. We are not into space stuff, pirates, or dinosaurs so the only other options are really sports, bugs or animals. We found some animal bedding that we liked but it was sold out, so the hunt continued. We found a lot of cute sports bedding but it was all a little busy for our taste. Finally we found it, sports bedding at Kohl's. And the best part was it was on sale. So I went and got it on Friday. We, I mean Daniel, spent the rest of the evening putting the guard rail together, taking apart the crib and putting the bed rails on the headboard and foot board. IT LOOKS GREAT. We decided to go with out a box springs for right now so little man can still get into his bed. We do need to find a better stool for him but he loves it.

We will be painting and accessorizing with in the next couple of weeks. It will be sad to paint over the dots on the walls but it should be a fun BIG BOY room when we are done.
