Memorial Day Weekend

This weekend was a little different for the usually Memorial Day Weekend for the Behrens family. Usually we are all ready to go on our big Behrens family vacation. This year we did not have a big tripped planned due to health issues. This year we had a nice time just relaxing over the weekend with the family.

Thursday night we went to College Station to help break up the trip a little bit and to say "have a great time" to my parents who were heading out on a road trip. Malachi had fun with Nanny and Papaw. Friday we loaded up and headed to La Grange. A weekend of swimming and picnicking was ahead of us. Saturday the kiddos played in the swimming pools most of the day.

They all slept well that night.

Sunday is always the big Picnic. It turns into a family reunion of sorts. There is a lot of yummy bar-b-Que and yummy sides. With pot luck you can never go wrong and you know you will always eat way more then you should.

Malachi had a lot of first on Sunday. He road the little tractor train and had his first snow cone (which neither of I got a picture). He then got to go fishing with his daddy, uncle Chris, and Walker. Hailey and Cameron were sleeping after playing very hard at the picnic.

Daniel learned never to take Malachi fishing when he is tired because his listening ears do not work. They will try again at Lake Belton were there is less moss and a not so tired boy. They all had fun though.

Then that evening Malachi had another first, he road on the mower with daddy around the farm.He had so much fun. He could not stop talking about bouncing up and down and waving at PePaw.

Everyone had a great weekend. It will be a weekend to remember.
