Malachi has been in a DADDY mood lately. For about the past week and half mommy cannot do anything everything is daddy. Sunday I think we heard "daddy" a good 100 times just in the afternoon. As a parent you long to hear the words "mommy and daddy" but come on when it is over and over again for no reason it starts to get on your nerves a little.
This past weekend we had a great time with friends. Some of us meet out at some friends parent's house. They have a salt water pool, man it was very nice. The kids had a blast swimming and running around. Malachi even braved the slide, of course just once because going under the water was not his cup of tea. By the time we left our poor little guy was so tired that he feel asleep before we even got out of the drive way.
Saturday was filled with a guys skeet shoot and shopping in the afternoon. Sunday we spent more time with some great friends eating and letting the kids swim some more. Malachi I think has his first good friend. MATT - you would think this little boy hung the moon in Malachi's world. There is just something about cute little Matt that Malachi is drawn to. So friendships are developing for our little man.
Now on to the 34 week picture. The baby is growing or at least I am growing. Everything looks good so far. We only have 6 weeks left before this little joy graces us with his or her presence.

i think the daddy obsession is normal. i'm not sure if it's the age, or how far along you are in your pregnancy, but ellie did the same thing towards the end of my pregnancy (she's only one month younger than malachi...so it could be the age too)....but anyway, i considered it God's little blessing to give me a break for a change since everything is usually "mommy, mommy, mommy". i think they start to sense something with the pregnancy, and they reach out for attention elsewhere. anyway, it was just a phase and it's over now. :-(
