Birthday Fun

On the kiddos birthdays we have decided this is their special day so we keep them home from daycare and we spend all day with just them doing whatever they want to do.

This year Malachi was pretty excited that Sister had to go to school and he got to stay home with Mom and Dad! His Mom and Dad we pretty excited as well.

On the agenda: Park - Zoo - Lunch - Nap

We dropped Sister off around 8:30 and headed to the park with little guy. He enjoys the large community park so we spent about an hour climbing, swinging, sliding, and playing chase.

Then it was ZOO TIME!
Lions, Elephants, and Giraffes were on the list of must sees. The first thing we came to was the monkeys. They were in the outdoor area having a blast laying around picking stuff off each other! OOH GROSS!!! There was a very special surprise for us, a baby monkey.
This is one Mama that loves her little monkey!


Little Guy looks like he is a little afraid the monkeys might get him!!!


Of course we saw the elephants
Some Giraffes
Bears and Tigers

And even a funny little deer
We moved on to one of our favorite spots in the zoo the bird house. We got little guy ready with some food and waited for those feathered friends to come.


Little guy wanted to ride the train so we hoped on the train and took a ride to our last stop.

Our last top before leaving the zoo was the reptiles. We saw alligators, fish, sharks, SNAKES, frogs, and all kinds of creepy crawlies! But probably one of the highlights of the zoo was the Milk Snake that was out for everyone to see and TOUCH! Little Guy did not even hesitate. He really enjoyed touching the snake and even told us days later what kind it was. But I promise that there will never be a pet snake in our house!!

We had a fun filled morning at the zoo and then went to eat lunch with our birthday boy, his pick - PIZZA!!

Our poor little guy was so tired he crashed in the car on the way home and he took a great nap.

We had transformer cupcakes and sang happy birthday to our sweet little 4 year old.
