4th of July

The 4th of July weekend has started off pretty great. I had Friday off and so did Malachi from daycare so we headed to play group. It was perfect b/c it was at one of the girl's pools. The water was bath tub temp so Malachi loved it. We swam for 2 hours with a 10 min break for lunch. Malachi was enjoying watching all the big kids jump into the pool. He did branch out and get out of his floaty and walk on the steps and splash in the water. He was also "HOT STUFF" with the blue goggles on.

Yesterday evening we headed to some friends house for some good hamburgers and some birthday brownies and homemade ice cream. The burgers were wonderful and the desert was great as well. I made dreamsycle ice cream this time and I believe it is taking the top of Daniel's favorite homemade ice cream list. So I will keep it on the list. Malachi loves playing with older kids and our friends have three of them so he was in heaven. After dinner we headed out of the city limits to Daniel's bosses house and set off some fireworks. We were not sure how Malachi was going to do with the noise and the lights but he could have cared less. We got some of the ones that would do the bigger bangs in the sky for him but he would look up after they were gone. We still had fun. Maybe next hear he will be into it a little more.



So far on the 4th we did not get to sleep in but Daniel did make a great breakfast. We have played some WII and Malachi and I went to the park for a little bit. The boy is getting so dark, good thing he got his mama's skin tone. He liked the bouncy ride and running for the water and ducks. He was pretty good at not getting to close to the ducks b/c they were all looking at him like man kid you are going to make use get wet so we can get away from you. But he was good and stayed back and just said Hi and make his duck noise.



This evening is going to be more swimming and good food with friends. We should all be tired after this weekend. It is nice to be somewhere that we have developed many friendships and can spend this holiday time hanging out.
