Camping Fall 2010

It is that time of year again, our Young Marrieds Camping Trip. This would be Hailey's second time camping but first time in a tent. We took off half a day to get everything loaded and get out there to set up early. DB has a huge heart and loves to help other people get all of their stuff set-up so we wanted to have everything done so he could do that.

This trip was at Glen Rose Dinosaur Valley State Park. Driving into Glen Rose was a bit hard for us because it was the last place we saw Cindy. We had our moment and tried to focus on the rest of the weekend. The weather was beautiful for camping, warm during the day and cool at night. Ok well I got COLD at night.

Neither of us were to excited about this camping trip b/c Hailey had a cold and was VERY FUSSY!!! She allowed us to get our tent up with out to much of a fuss.

That night we had some hot dogs and some smores and then hit the sack. Hailey decided that sleeping was not her top priority ok well laying down was not. She wanted to sleep on me but did not want me to lay down so I stood up for about an hour and then propped myself up on the ground against the air mattress. It was a LONG NIGHT. Saturday was great. We went and saw Dinosaur tracks,

DB played some football, I got some shopping in, Malachi stole a scooter
and Hailey cried. That evening we had a wonderful community Frito Pie dinner and more smores. Hailey went to sleep well but then decided she needed to pop another tooth. So screaming commenced. I finally got in the car and drove around town with her. Camping was officially not fun anymore.

Sunday morning we packed up, had a WONDERFUL worship experience with the Lord's Super and then headed out. We had already decided we were going to Loco Coyote for lunch and drug two other couples along with us!!! The wait is for ever long but WORTH IT!!!
The Best Burgers EVER!!!

Apparently it is now on one our friends top 3 best places to eat list and he has ate at a lot of fancy places.

Needless to say camping was camping. We still love it but maybe next time it will be in a camper!!
