New School

Malachi is growing up every day. Each day he is saying or doing something new that makes us think where did our baby boy go. Since January 2nd of 2008 Malachi has been loved and cared for during the day by Gigi. Gigi was a blessing in his life and ours for these past two years. No matter how hard it was to feed our little guy or get him to sleep her love for him never grew faint. As our little man grew we knew his stay at Gigi's would not be forever. We started looking for a new daycare center. There are so many here in the dfw area and a lot to consider when looking at them. We finally found one at a church close to the house. With the arrival of Hailey we prayed about where she needed to be and we came up with the conclusion that going to the same place as Malachi would be the best option. Ofcourse this was a hard decision because she would not be at Gigi's b/c Gigi had loved on Malachi and she would not be loving on Hailey. So with the decision made we moved Malachi to his new school in November. He also left behind a sweet little girl in his life.

The friday before he was supposed to start Daniel and I took Malachi to see his new school. It was an emotional time for some of us (Daddy). Since I was the one that always dropped Malachi off Daniel never had to experience the crying and screaming for mommy. So seeing his little boy a little scared and confused and shy was overwhelming for Daniel. We spent about an hour at the Academy and then took Malachi for his last day at Gigi's.

On November 2 we both took Malachi to the Academy. He was very cute on his first day with his pillow and blanket in tow.

We did not stay to long with him but made sure he knew where everything was and both took our turns sneaking out of the room. He is the youngest one in his class which is a switch from Gigi's where he was the oldest.

We are all still adjusting to the new school. Malachi is very tired and ready for bed by 7:00 at night. He is using a lot of energy at school.

Little Guy we love you so much and are so thankful for the young little boy you are turning into. You are smart, energetic, and a joy to love every day.
